My name is Jonathan Ross and I’m currently 25 years old and live in Bushwick, Brooklyn. I was raised in southern California on Mexican food, Disneyland and Musical Theatre and then moved to Boston Mas. to attain a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis on Musicals. I have always made extremely practical choices. Boston is a city where great things have happened, yet it’s void of anything that’s even slightly interesting happening now. After I discovered that I’m a better director than I ever was an actor or singer, I got away from Boston quickly and without backwards glancing. Moving to New York has been strange, wondrous and challenging. I started work as a busboy and then got moved up to that great, water treading middle of the road job, waiting tables. My constant seeking for beauties and truths is often exhausting and lacking in funds. I dream of one day starting a theatre company and finding a girl who is obsessed with Woody Allen and Federico Fellini, can quote Nabokov at the drop of a hat, can sing me to sleep regularly, bakes perfect pies, is sexually ambidextrous and will forever look no older than 26 years old. I am still searching for a community in this city that I feel I can really identify with. May we find each other and may the new Bohemia begin.

Wow! What an interesting path you’ve taken. Most Southern Californians wouldn’t have the balls to move here. What’s the big deal about being sung to sleep?
