Who are we?
Trans/Giving is a unique, award-winning series that showcases the immense talent of transgender, genderqueer, and intersex artists in Los Angeles and around the world. Trans/Giving functions as both a showcase for experienced artists as well as a space to explore for those who are new to performing. We are a space where people from many different communities and backgrounds can connect and share their talents. While some of our past artists have addressed gender issues directly, this is by no means a requirement — we are interested in sharing the best work of all members of our communities, whatever the theme. Trans/Giving believes that the strongest statement we can make as artists is simply through our art.

Also, we are proud co-sponsors of the Transgender Day of Remembrance commemoration and march in West Hollywood.
Join us at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, on Santa Monica Blvd. at Crescent Heights, the Matthew Shepard Human Rights Triangle, in West Hollywood.
Honored guests – including Chaz Bono – will unveil the first Transgender Memorial Plaque, commemorating those who have been murdered due to anti-transgender violence and hatred. Following the dedication, a candlelight march will proceed east on Santa Monica Blvd. to Plummer Park for a community reception. Food and refreshments will be served.
